How fast can someone actually get here?
Often the same day, especially for refrigerators and anything leaking. Choose an available arrival window on our booking calendar and use the confirmation email as your booking record. For requests by phone or text, the office confirms the available window. Book early; by late afternoon we're usually filling tomorrow.
What does the 30-day warranty cover?
Parts and labor on the work we performed. If the same fault returns within 30 days of the repair, we come back and make it right at no additional charge.
Do you work on high-end European appliances?
Yes — Miele, Bosch, Asko, Gaggenau, Liebherr and Fisher & Paykel are regular work for us, along with Sub-Zero, Viking, Wolf and Thermador. These need specific parts and procedures, which is exactly why people call a specialist instead of a general handyman.
Do you charge for the diagnosis?
Yes — $200 plus NY sales tax, $217.75 total, paid when you book or when we arrive. It covers the trip, a technician opening the appliance, and a straight diagnosis. It is not credited toward the repair, and it's charged whether or not you go ahead with the work. Once we've diagnosed it you get the full repair price, and nothing more is charged until you approve it.
Is it worth repairing, or should I just replace it?
We'll tell you honestly once we've diagnosed it. If the repair costs more than the appliance is worth, you'll hear that from us — talking someone into a bad repair is how you never get called again.
Which parts of New York do you cover?
All five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. We don't travel outside the city, which is what keeps our response times short inside it.
